Does anyone know anything about this bike. I am building one up and can't find to much on it on the internet. I am going to use it racing and some jumping. They're selling the frame on ebay for like $50 bucks. Is this a good frame?

Usually, if it's a fame, and it's selling for $50 on eBay, then it sucks because it is most likely not full-chromo.

EDIT: I'm too lazy to look it up.

This is not a Chromo frame. It's Aluminum. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it.*

Aluminum and $50 doesn't sound too good, little man.

If you don't like what we have to say, then buy it and try it.

I already have it, if you would've read the original post. I asked a little question to see if anyone knows anything about this frame and you all start talking smack. I'm here for the same thing everyone else is here for. To help people, and get help. No hard feelings.

I did read your original post.

That threw me off, I thought you were planning to build one and wanted advice on the frame. Nobody here races, and like Expat said, Schwinn blows ass past 78. It's made by Pacific Cycles, same people who make bikes for Wal*mart, Target, K-mart.

I don't race anymore, but the difference between race frames is neglible. I doubt there is any huge variance in the specs among race frames by different manufacturers.

i'm not a racer, but it looks like an alright frame. Pacific definitely makes some crapity poop, but I have a GT I-drive dual suspension mtb that I am very satisfied with. Build it up nice, and if it breaks buy a fbm b itchin' camaro. nuff said

Well it's an older frame from before Pacific bought Schwinn, I think like a 99' model. Do you happen to know when Pacific actually bought Schwinn?

Some of the Schwinn Pro Stocks (from the late 1990's) were recalled...there was an issue with the weld between the toptube and the steertube coming apart. Just a warning.
