To fuzzy,
I'm not really that concerned about my frame cracking, seeing as im kinda scrawny, haha.
The frame feels amazing to ride at the moment, i'm more than happy with it.
Also, your bike kicks ass!
:)
p.s. im slightly pissed at the moment.
yay!

FuzzyRyder 04-11-08 11:11 AM

I'm sure the frame feels fine, and I'm scrawny too, I probably wouldnt break it either. But i've seen enough bad things happen to people that own fly products to never want to buy one. thanks, I'm pretty stoked on how the bike turned out.

When you put on pegs, it goes nut and washer inside peg right? Because i wasn't thinking and i put on washer in between the peg and the dropouts and when i came home from grinding, my nut was loose and the peg was turning.

wethepeople 04-12-08 06:56 PM

I don't even use washers, just get some decent pegs with anti spin tabs.

FitRider 921 04-12-08 08:56 PM

I want those Plegs. Now.

chicagotypewrit 04-13-08 04:46 PM

FuzzyRyder 04-13-08 05:07 PM

chicagotypewrit 04-13-08 07:25 PM

Yessss I agree.
I ran pegs for about a month or two.
Completely crushed my rear dropout grrrrr!
I had to beat my axle so damn hard to get it out.
Pegs = never again.

FuzzyRyder 04-14-08 06:21 AM

when that happens you just pry your drop out open with the end of a ratchet or something.

elduderino 04-14-08 12:17 PM

I know I'm going to get ripped coz its a mongoose and the pic isn't great but it is a McCann and V-light just need a new innertube as theoneon it now popped first time out!! Gutted!

It may be a Mongoose, but it's a full chro-mo Mongoose with 3-piece cranks. And do you know what size bars they are? If you do, do you like the height/width?

elduderino 04-14-08 04:36 PM

No, i'm not to sure I just looked around for a tape measure and couldnt find one....

Ok if BMX wheels are 20 inch then the bars must be 25 inch wide and about 15 high?? is that right? dunno

I will probably cut the ends shorter but they sweep back and up quite alot.

fastmc 04-14-08 08:06 PM

elduderino 04-15-08 10:39 AM

..... Ok now I just dont care about backsweep/upsweep....Just glad I dont have them bars!

fastmc 04-15-08 06:48 PM

They are a replica made by Knight Bikes of a CW bar that was very popular back in the 1980's. CW was one of the top builders of bmx and freestyle bikes BITD. Guess you have to be an old guy like me to appreciate them.
Don't worry, when you grow up your kids won't think you, your music, your style or anything else old is cool. Its the circle of life. ;)

Ok ok I get u now... stillif i'm strugglin with my bars i'd chin myself on those!

They are 'Old school cool' i'll give you that mate. But be honest... are they any good for riding?

fastmc 04-16-08 05:51 PM

I think they are great. About 3 deg. back sweep but no up sweep if you like that. 26" wide uncut. Remember this is a cruiser race style bike and not a jumper/trick bike. My face never gets anywhere close to the bars but I can understand your position.

KinetikBiker 04-19-08 04:42 PM

Your hub doesn't match your forks, and your bars don't match them either. Get with the program WTP.

Yeah, they are about 25-27" wide but probably about 7" high. A 15" rise would be crazy.
