Agreed, but make sure you get tubulars.
Just get some good ones. Like Profile's.
i haven't taken time to do much moddin from stock because it rides good and smooth as it is. i'm thinkin new grips, 3 pc. like you said and new tires.
Wear out the stock tires first; the cheapest tires are $10 each. New grips=good idea, mongoose grips are hard and skinny.

Hmm... I've seen this bike before. Oh yeah! It's on page 47.
It's true.
Nobody posts bikes here anymore, lets see your bike or shut the hell up. |
Okay. I'll try to get a good pic when my Eastern 720's come in. The bike's holding a pair of 80's 1-piece cranks right now. Once I get my computer to bring down the pixels, I'll show you a bike that you have never seen anything similar to.
I've realized I don't have photoshop so I'll install tomorrow or saturday.
Got it!

With a little manipulation (hope it is attached), here's my one of a kind bike. It is a Next frame, but I needed a cheap 20 in. frame for gears. It is equipped with TB-1, Shimano cranks, 4130 Cro-Mo Giant forks, "sissy bars" from a motorcycle, and Promax brakes (I know, not name-brand, but they cause endos). The rest is cheap, used parts. I have spent less than $10 in all the parts on this bike and it still clocks out at 27-28 m.p.h. on flat ground. For comparison, conventional roadbikes clock out at 32-35 on flat ground when the rider is wearing a suit
wow that is gay.
Oh yeah, the seat is raised in order to keep the rider upright and from sliding forward when stopping. An upright position causes less back problems when giving maximum force to the pedals.
Haha. But it beats racing gokarts and BMX bikes while I'm SITTING down and the other riders are standing on their BMX. It also does two-wheel drifts and manuals for as long as I like. I'll get a pic of my other bikes tomorrow.

Me and my roommate just started bmxing this week im already getting decent... been buying up cheap craigslist bikes like crazy. stripping them for parts and building bikes...
I currently ride a backtrail x2 in chrome... i hate chrome... but i made it look the best i can. Its basically stock with a y22 backrim... just took off the reflectors and stickers... I picked it up for $50 missing a tube. Pictured is also a f3 my roommates $75 FIND, another x2 $50 with a bent fork... the crank is messed up 2 and so are the rims, an x1 frame (free), and a mirra 540 was complete $100 i bought last year and rode it around to classes just toooooo heavy for me so im building a x2 mirra hybrid.... id have more bikes complete but i keep hitting ledges and bending rims... My kitchen is curently a mess i have to clean off the pong table for this weekend and i dont know where to throw all this stuff http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/DSCF3239.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/DSCF3238.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/DSCF3236.jpg |
Nice Haro frame for the tabletop. I like the color (I can't tell from the pic if it is raw or not).
both on the table are a grey semi gloss color the one is the mirra 540 the other is an x2 with my mirra fork/knee savers on it.
wtp,
Those forks look damn sexy with that raw frame. I like it. Thinking of painting my mosca. Also my forks. But I can't decide what colour(s)... |

Probably a couple pages back. Not powdercoat, it was some kind of automotive paint I guess. Took it to some guy who paints cars.

All I've seen is the WRX, raw bike, and roadbike.
