Yeah, the crappy MTB with a smaller wheel has been done many, many times.
Thanks for playing.

Not with my gearing though. A smaller wheel provides higher r.p.m. and thus speed, while a larger front tire helps with braking. people my age have a hard time keeping up while they're standing and I'm not. I do admit, it does look crappy, but I come a low/middle class family. Money is an issue. I've have better bikes, but I'll get them up tomorrow.

Hmmm...that depends on where your "powerband" is. For instance, when buying a turbo kit, you should buy stage 1 for torque and stage 4 for h.p. This is because lower rpm's kick out more torque with each revolution whereas high rpm's kick out more h.p. This is why I have a front chainring ranging from about 25 teeth to 45+ teeth. I have to have a wide range in order to make it off the line.

Sorry, wrong with the turbo setups.
And still wrong about the gearing, yes, you can change gears to get up to speed easily but you will still have a lower top end with a smaller wheel.

No, hence why there are specialty shops to do it.

I suppose I should apologize then. I forgot you don't live here in NC. Raleigh, NC probably has the only good shop around here. Nobody lets anyone else do work to their car here. So, in my neck of the woods, turbos are expensive quirky pieces of junk. So, when I gave you my comparison to a turbo, I was speaking from my place.

Screw that with out a proper data logger and extensive knowledge about air fuel ratio's and torque curves your pretty much useless... the learning curve is steep for self tuning devices... might as well go pay the $600 and get dyno tuned right...

I have never heard of any dyno testing around here. You take your car to the strip to see how it runs. They might dyno test here, but no one cares, as long as the turbo or supercharger doesn't blow up.
