They are only plastic, there is no sleve, so once you wear them down, your out a peg.

Well, he paid 40, and the back peg wore down awfully fast, chipped, and somehow got ovalized. the inside of the peg is small so 19 mm bolts wont work and 17 mm with the flange for the socket wont work, I had to grind that off . and the socket almost gets stuck in the peg. I'd say plegs must be better and will last cause you can buy replacement sleves. Mind you he Darian isnt the smoothest rider. ( i rode his bike)

I actually used to work at the bike shop I got it from so I got it for a good too good to be revealed... it is about a 650 dollar bike though if you were just to walk in and buy it from a shop
