I might get the forks painted as well. But I want new ones instead. But I also really want new bars because those ones are only 25" wide. I have like $45 in saver stamps from ABA too and they're redeemable at some local bike shops. Yay me. I don't know whether to get new bars or forks. I kind of want it lighter(not to be a weight weenie) but at the same time I want it to feel better.

I'm putting together a race bike. Mainly old stuff put together but it is coming along nicely.

Sweet. Post pics up when it's done.
But I'm pretty sure I'm going to save up some cash and saver stamps for forks. I'm digging the Odyssey Dirt Classic forks in white. What's the difference between the Classic Race and the Classic Dirt besides 2oz.?

I shall. Hopefully I can get it done before Thursday so I can test it out and possibly race Friday if all goes well.
Classic race has smaller dropouts but they also might come in 14. Otherwise there isn't really a difference that I know of.

First Thursday race is this week. But racing is definitely so much fun. Have you been on the track yet?
But maybe I'll just get the Races, it's not like I'll be beating the crap out of them with grinding, and I'm sure they would withstand my weight even if I did grind. I don't know though, maybe the extra weight savings isn't worth it.

Yeah there are two here and I went to both. I love em. It is definitely harder than it looks for sure, but maybe not using a street bike next time will help.
Classic race will hold you and your grinds. Get em.

Everyone downgrades racing and says it's easy. Yeah ok. I want to see them try it. You hitting any big jumps there?
But once I get the money for the Races, I def. will buy them. Right now I have like $45 in saver stamps and like $40 in cash. The stamps don't take that long to get so hopefully I could get the forks in the next month or two. According to Dan's Comp, the Races are only Integrated compatible. Empire doesn't say anything about that. So which is it?
Maybe I'll just be safe and go with the Classic Dirts.

I've been trying to clear the table top except I can't get enough speed with a baby sprocket lol. The cs2 are but the older ones aren't.

I can't get the CS2s because I have a standard headset. I was also looking at Drive Lite's because they're cheaper and they can fit standard.
But I was jumping the other day on my street/trails bike at the track. It was fun. Not to be judgmental, but it would probably look weird watching a girl on a street bike jumping at the track.

Alright I think that idea's going out the window then. I'm just going to stick with the Ody Classic Dirt's then. Not having an integrated headset really makes my choices scarce. I could also get the WTP Helium forks.
