What you believe is largely a result of your social status and culture. Most people in developed countries don't rely on the weather or the seasons to provide food, and have the leisure time to study the sciences. I'm a christian, and although I'm skeptical of organized religion, I think some kind of religion is important to have.

What does science have to do with religion? You can't say religion doesn't make sense because of science. Not wanting to start a flame war or anything (what you believe is up to you), but you can't scientifically prove things such as God not existing.
