good news and bad news
So I have good news and bad news for today. I will start off with the good news...
Good news: I am pretty sure I am going to buy a Profile mini front hub to a Odyssey 7ka rim for $25 from a kid who is selling it for (drug) money. If my friend doesn't buy the Profile mini cassette to 7ka, I may buy that too. Both are $25, but my friend shottied the back one, and I'd still be happy just getting the front wheel.
Bad news: While making a very sharp turn, somehow, my pedal hit the ground and somehow, that aggravated my bad ankle/leg. I can't walk so well right now. I'm getting surgery in two days. Hopefully I won't get recurrences like this after it is done.
EDIT: More bad news: I just remembered I have a 14mm fork. Damnit.

Sucks about your ankle.. put the outside pedal down next time ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Also sucks for the kid who's selling that stuff, but it's good for you. Someone on BG said they bought a 5D and 24-105 ($3k+ setup) for 900 bucks, from someone who needed the cash. And if it went to drugs, they probably blew it in a couple days...

Yeah, I just hope it's still there to be bought because I want that stuff. I would have went to go buy it right now, but I had to come home. I really want the back wheel, though.

I don't have adaptors. I might end up trading someone my brand new rim for some forks.

Im running a 3/8 axle in a 14mm fork on my beater bike with no problems. I just put a 14mm hat washer on and then a couple smaller washers and it works perfect.

I just picked up the front wheel. Profile SS front hub in 3/8ths to a 36h Odyssey 7ka in black. I'll get pictures later.
EDIT: I got pictures now.

Eh, it'll come off easy. It's definitely worth the $35 I spent for it. I'll probably end up selling the hub one way or another. I want a Marmoset.

Yeah, it's the SS. It weighs a ton compared to other hubs. It's a bit overkill.

I could just sell it on eBay and buy myself a brand new wheel with the money. Marmoset + hazard light + DT Swiss spokes. It might not even cost me anything.

Actually, it would be a Marmoset + rhynolight + dt swiss spokes. I don't need a hazard light in the front. That would only run me about $150. I could probably get close to that for what I have now.

I really want to throw the wheel on. Would it mess up the axle if I put it on without adaptors? There would be no peg use on the front as I don't have any 3/8ths pegs.

It'll be fine, just make sure it stays seated, best way to tell is if the wheel is perfectly centered in the fork.

Alright, that works. I wish you told me that before. I'm getting surgery tomorrow. That means, no riding for a few days.
