I spy a pair of GLANDs on there.

bmichaelx 11-19-05 01:58 PM

Does the Gland hub guard work with only the Gland hubs? Will it work with a Prio Pro front hub?

CMcMahon 11-19-05 02:31 PM

Seeing as how there are no GLAND hubs (unless you're referring to G-Sport hubs), the answer to that is no. They'll work with any hub, although you might have to cut away a bit of the inner circle to make them fit.

bmichaelx 11-19-05 03:20 PM

Okay, thanks.

Oh, and yes, I was referring to the G-sport hubs. Whoops.

Taylor, why are you responding to such an old post from that tool? And his argument is beyond lame.

Tell me what you think. any comments welcome.

It's pretty much all stock so there isnt much to say. Ride the stuff until it needs replacing. Pull your bars back. waaay back. and enjoy riding it. And personally I wouldnt run such a nobby tire in the back, but thats just personal preference.

mude 11-20-05 09:18 PM

you couldve just said that it was a Giant Rythm and left it at that since its mostly stock.

I'd say that your bars are just a bit too far forward.

bahaha. i have rolled them back a fair way now. i didn't have a chance to test it because is started raining heavy last night after i did it. i will go for a ride soon

I_Suck_At_BMX 11-23-05 11:39 AM

i used to ride with my bars like that when i first started, but everytime i cased something or landed real hard my bars would be practically against my front tire. now i ride with my bars at the same angle as my fork.

duzteen 11-23-05 05:03 PM

I just brought my new bike home today...I finally got a new one after my bike fell in the river about halfway through the summer.

Anyways, I got a 2006 We The People 4 seasons from my local bike store. He gave me a great deal too, selling it to me at cost, which was a 250 dollar discount before taxes. It sucks that I had to get it so late in the year, and it sucks even more that's it's all snowy out x.X...I personally like the bike so far. I haven't been able to actually ride it to see what it's like, other than the slippery ride home from the bike store, which was cold and boring.

Any comments(or bashing), or suggestions?

Sorry if I seemed to be rambling on like an idiot...

I_Suck_At_BMX 11-23-05 05:17 PM

thats the exact bike i wanted to get in that color too, then for some reason or another it made sence to my thick headed self that i should get a diamond back. luckily the people of this forum saved me and i put the money into the bike i had.

that is a very nice bike tho.and how did you manage to loose your bike in a river?

Long story short, my bike hated anybody who rode it. It took every opportunity it had to run people over or throw them off, no matter who was riding it.....It decided to do this while riding by the river... I would've went in after it, except our river here isn't exactly "swimming material"....you'd grow a tentacle or two from it...;p

zx108 11-23-05 07:16 PM

that is a nice bike. enjoy!

I_Suck_At_BMX 11-23-05 09:55 PM

yea i was gunna say why wouldnt you swim after it, ive swam for my bike after jumping into ponds, but if the river you talk about is 1/2 as bad as one we have i wouldnt go after it either.

the key to pond/lake/river jumping is to have put empty 2-liter coke or milk bottles onto the bars and frame with duct tape so that the bike floats...and DRY IT OFF WHEN YOUR DONE...or just have a crappy bike for it and then it wont matter.

I_Suck_At_BMX 11-27-05 11:48 AM

i used to do it in the summer with a new nyquist pro, it never caused any damage and i never had to dry it off becuase it was always dry after the ride home. the empty bottles is a good idea. definatly be better than swimming around for a black bike in a dark pond. i saw a video once and the people strapped a life jacket to the handle bars.

FuzzyRyder 11-27-05 12:24 PM

I've got a POS bmx bike at my cottage that i use for lake jumping, we have a 6 foot jump that we set up at the end of our dock and then there is a huge hill we ride down for speed. Thats what we do to make it float, just strap a life jacket to the handel bars.

g-rideguy 12-06-05 10:23 AM
