bmx bikes are not good cruisers, 24" is still not the greatest, right now i use my old redline mx244 t&t bike until i get a specialized big hit fsr 1 and get back into freeride, there are really no great 24" cruiser bmx's, shadow conspiracy makes one, theres plenty of racers, and its all not that great, get something a little bigger if you wanna just cruise

The Fetish Sin Pro 26 seems like a good cruiser option and the Swobo Folsom looks "BMX-ish" (and I think it could withstand more abuse than most fashion bikes...)

After owning two Demo Nines, I will NEVER buy another fully from Specialized.

I like to cruise on my 20" bmx. It's pretty much all do with it right now, honestly. Great for getting around campus.

If your heart is set on 20" wheels, make sure you get a good size toptube and a long seatpost. It's really not that bad at all, except if you've got a lot of hills to climb. I'm 6'1" or so, and I usually ride mine about 6 miles a day. The pros outweight the cons, for me anyway.

The best thing to do is to try both at an LBS, I'm basically down to full time cruising in my 20" so I went to the shop in town and tried a 24" to see if it was any better and I hated it. If you go with a 20" get your seat post up and get a long TT. I'm 5"11 and I've got a 20.5, it's pretty decent, but I could definitely go for a 21 or 21.25 of money rained down from heaven.

Warranty issues? Or just bad design?

A local shop has one for under $400, but it doesn't have the flashy anodizing (maybe last year's model?) You might try looking for an older model...

Both, they're a ***** to work on (they actually have special tools for them) and they wouldn't even replace the broken rear end on mine. I was willing to pay and everything and they just ignored me.
