Bikes: 2007 Mercier Sperns (I'm a shill) and a 99 Diamondback Invert

Yo and Hello

A little History

I use to ride a Kuwahara Magician and a Haro Master back in the day. Use to ride at lot of ramp and street stuff. Latter on did some Mountain biking

The Present

Now I'm an elitist jerk that hangs out on the road forum and foo However my son is getting into riding his bike more, my roadie isn't best bike to take on rides with him for father son interaction. So I picked up a Free Agent Hellcat for 19 bucks at the local pawnshop. The bike is built like a tank and weights a ton, however I understand it is dirt jumping bike, which is cool with me since that is what we will start out doing. I'm pretty pumped up about getting out and dusting off my old tricks and showing my son that I still got it Even thinking about building a mini-half in my backyard. Who knows, it may take a few hospital trips before I can nail a 540 but it will be fun.

I'll be hanging out asking for tips and such, take it easy on old guy like me

Free Agents are tanks. Take pics of the 540.

The only thing I fear about crashing is this bike landing on me. Also I think this is a Hellcat 24 with 20 inch rims on it, is that possible? I'll try to get some pic's up this weekend

You should probably get a full faced helmet and some shin guards if you are doing something extreme. If the 24 had 20 inch rims it would look awkward so I don't think so.

I plan to get the right correct body armor. I use to have some Hammer body wear by R.L. Osborne back in the day, but can't seem to find it anymore

I think your right after looking at some more pic's I found a 20in with the brake mounted near the BB. My bike is similar to this . However since it is used it has been though a few more battles. I think the front hub is shot, and needs new bearings.

Actually a wheelie is where you pedal and manual is just holding it without pedaling.

Oh and Hos13,the kids that ride these days have no respect for their elders and correct us everytime we say something wrong. Is a tabletop still called a tabletop?

Kids these days And to think I was going to share some of my wisdom with the younger generation here.

Oh and Fuzzbox while I haven't nailed my 540, I hurt in about 540 different places. I'm already starting to look around for a 24inch bike.

I really like it so far. It just feels so much more comfortable than a 20. Of course, I probably won't be doing tailwhips on it...lol. Us old guys have to stick together...
