Lock your arms, bend your knees. It takes years to do decent manuals. I've been riding for 3 years and I still don't have manuals dialed.

You need to find yur balance point on the bike and work to maintain that position. Ryan Nyqusit does a reallystylish manual watch him and try his technique, and then go from there.

there are many ways to manual. it all depends on you and your style. some manual with bent arms and straight legs, some straight arms bent legs, and yet others bend both arms and legs. also where you find your balance point varies depending on the rider. lots of riders tend to stick their butts out over their back tire but it's not necessary to stay way back. the farthar back your balance point is the less you have to lift your front wheel. finding your balance point is the key to manuals and it just takes time. the way i got them down is just manualing down the street on my way to ride other spots.
