Troubles disassembling Bike: What Should I Do?
hey everyone
this is my first time posting on the forums and i really need some help!
(thanks for everyone's time btw)
here is my situation, i have just received an old bmx from a friend, and it needs quite a bit of work done on it.
right now i have absolutely no clue how to remove the forks from the frame. the bottom piece that holds the handlebars in place is still connected to the forks, and i don't have any bicycle tools except for hex keys and the usual wrenches. here are some pictures of my bike:
i need help to disassemble this because i am planning to paint the frame!!
second problems is, how do i remove the middle crank+pedals (sorry for wrong bicycle terms!):
if anyone has some sort of tutorial (with diagrams hopefully), i would really appreciate it! (i have tried looking through the forums, i might have been looking in the wrong place if there is such a tutorial! sorry!)

To remove the pedal turn the opposite way you would normally turn so left=tighten, right=loosen. Same thing with the first part of taking those cranks off.

you need to loosen the center bolt on the handle bar stem. get the stem out, and the forks just unthread from there.

thank you very much for both your replies!
after doing some research (successfully, after finding the right names for each part) i managed to get the headset free --> forks! = )
i have dug through pages of forums and tutorials and finally found out how to remove the one-piece cranks, and have successfully loosened its components, but the pedal won't give way. i am turning it clockwise on the left side, but it wouldn't budge at all...i have used at least 3 hex keys of the right size but its starting to strip...im not planning to keep the pedals anyway, do u guys have any suggestions as to how to remove the pedals? (with force is fine if u got a plan)!

Use a 15mm wrench instead of a hex key. You might be able to get more force into it.
