Am i crazy?
i wanted to ride allitle before the coldness hit so i went for a 60 mile ride with a friend. it was mostly fun. the only downside was i was using my 20" haro becouse i couldnt ride anything else at the time. i know it didnt hurt the bike, im just asking if anybody has ever done anything like that? I know they are meant for quick acceleration and not long distance for the most part. also if it matters i was very unprepared but made it home safely
so incase i lost you im just wondering, was it stupid to do that?

I've never thought twice about riding a BMX over long distances. I think the farthest I've ever gone is only 15 or 20 miles, though.
But, I'm the idiot that keeps using my old sub-stay Supercross as a mountain bike.

I wouldn't say stupid, i personally think the farthest ive gone on 20's is probably 15 miles or so, i dont think i could to 60 miles especially since most my bmx seats have no padding in them that would hurt.

ya i just was itching to see something new out there before the snow hit. and my road was disasembled and the oly other one i have rite now is a roadmaster i got for a dollar. i stood up most of the time so it wasnt that bad. now my trips will usually be cut down to around 15 or 20 miles. so i was just wondering if i was a weirdo and looks like im only half crazy. lol

There was a time when I was younger and I wanted to go to a bike park pretty bad so I rode all the way there because I didn't have any other forms of transportation at the time. Note that it was not in the same town and normally a 30-45 min car drive. It was awful but worth it.

i actually just talked to a friend that does long rides with me and it just occured to me that he rides almost exclusivly bmx 20". no matter where me are going. he said he just likes it better than road bikes or mountain bikes.
