How fat are your pockets? alot of guys talk about building light bikes. Weight = cash on bike parts. How crazy/rich are you? Titanium crazy?(r&c) Mid grade the ody parts mentioned are good starts. oddyssey has some decent stuff. wait for the new cassette the old one sucks. However if the pockets are deep get with Profile and r&c They have the goods for light bikes and heavy wallets. a profile hub cost as much as an ody wheelset for example.

Custom = $1000.00+ easily

If that is your budget, and some DO have that budget, then let us know and you will hear some great ideas.

Ditto. And I wouldn't recommend the Flatline; Volume is notoriously shady when it comes to their warranty department, and, frankly, the Flatline that I rode wasn't all that great.
