Codec/Vaquero frame, hawkeye forks, wonder year bars, nomad/tribe cranks, and diode rims are all really nice parts. Alot of my friends ride them and they've been surprisingly strong.

Well, I've seen nothing but failure. So, with your personal experience and mine combined, we find an even bigger, uglier monster. Inconsistency. This is worse than havin just ****ty parts and knowing that they're ****ty, because this way you don't know. So you or a friend could buy a part, have it be awesome, and then you/friend (vice versa) buys that part and it sucks? No thank you.

i did rode it in skateparks in Hawaii. in the neighborhood i lived in there was a concrete quarter pipe we used to romp on. after i moved to stafford,va i mainly used it as transportation. for someone under 150 lbs walmart bmx bikes preform no better than 5-600 dollar pro bikes.( aside from being heavy as led xD ) also tho, the frame is thick tube, maybe this is a factor as to how long it has lasted. a thin tube frame might not last as long under stress full conditions when it comes to X-mart bmx bikes. just trying to say, a cheap bike can last a long time if you take care of it.

Hi, I'm in the same boat as the OP. Looking for a BMX bike for my 8 year old, he's 55" tall. When he rides his older brothers 20" it seems too big for him in 2 areas specifically. The bars seem really massive and spread out and the cranks (170mm) are really too long for his legs. I called a bike shop and explained the situation, they had 2 suggestions. The Haro Z20 and the Redline Raid. Both have compact frames and smaller bars with shorter cranks but still use 20" wheels. This made complete sense to me. I would suggest looking for something with shorter cranks and smaller bars.
