Ryde bieks foar lyfe. But for real, I sort of don't understand what you're asking. What kind of scooter are we supposed to compare bikes to? Mopeds?

The greatest pro of bikes is that they are not scooters. The biggest con of scooters is that they are.... well.... scooters.

Oh, come on folks...What are we? A bunch of bike snobs?

Scooter pros; fun, cheap transportation.
cons; no exercise. And I imagine that the cheap off-brands might be hard to keep in good repair. Finding parts might be a problem, for instance.

I like scooters and mopeds. If I had one, though, my natural laziness might keep me riding that too much and riding my bike too little. That's not a problem where my car is concerned. But I don't like getting in and out of it and I don't like getting into those automobile "packs" that roam the streets.

I wouldn't have that issue with a scooter and might over-do it.

Well, this is Bikeforums, so I would say that yea, we are a bit. And honestly, when I first read scooter, I immediately thought of a razor scooter. Those things were badass when I was like 7.

Why would someone compare a moped/scooter with a bike unless they mean motorcycle. I still think the person is talking about razor scooters.
