thanks, i'm familiar with that site. unfortunately not all the years of the vertigo have pics. i can probably narrow it down some but given that some years have very similar specs, it gets a little dicey to say its one over another with certainty.

i was hoping there was some way to decode the GT serial number.

The guys at BMXmuseum.com are wizards. They can take a sn, and usually give you a lot more information than you had before.
