GT Avenger? Appraisal?
Greetings,
First time in BMX. I have some idea about this one, it "came into my possession" just recently. I know it's old school, looks exactly like other Avenger frames I've googled, and has been hideously mistreated, gold rattle-canned.
Anyway, here are some pictures for your evaluation if you please:

Do I hear an "Amen" on it being a Haro? I'd like to get all that gold rattle-can paint off of the chrome and build it up. I have no idea how much such a beast would be worth though. Can I assume that period correct decals are prohibitively expensive?

See how those rear dropouts are paper thin? See how the fork doesn't even have a discernible dropout, instead just a crimped and notched fork leg?
Yeah, not worth putting too much energy into, leave it as it is, get hooked on riding, ride it into the ground and then pick up one of the <$200 FBM/EASTERN/KINK craigslist specials that pop up whenever a BMX rider gets old enough to buy a car.
FWIW, no bmx of any quality will have a QR seatclamp.
