Chain Stays
I just read a post by bearman about chainstays brake mounts and he mentioned something about lowering them. How do u that because my chain rubs on my brakes and it sucks.
i just bought a new sprocket and driver and i dont have the money to fork out for new parts.

you should have posted this in that thread with a quote from his post, I dont understand what you are saying based on there being no context. Have you tried just keeping your chain really tight? If it isnt actually sitting on your brakes, and its actually just rubbing at times, tightening it should do the trick.

Lowered chainstays doesn't mean actually lowering the height of your brakes, it means lowering the position of the chainstays.
But yes, if you use Dia-Compe 990s or Dia-Tech Hombres, you can use .40 Get Downs or the Dia-Tech Fiesta setup to lower the height a bit. I'd just use Evolvers or Flys, though.
