Organizing a Bike\Walk Event
I've been approached by a town official and asked if I would help organize a bike and walk event for sometime next year. I'm involved in town activities and a very active non-profit local history museum, which one reason I was asked to help set this up.
We are just starting to kick this idea around. Looks like it will be setup as a town fun event and not a fundraiser. Our town holds four festivals per year downtown with street vendors and fireworks, we might tie it to one of those. Any advice from anyone who has organized one, besides "don't do it" 😊.
What worked, what didn't, anything happen that you did not plan on, what would you do or not do again.
Thanks

I do not have it at my finger tips but look up Open Street events. I think there is a NGO and definitely events in many cities. I hope our city gets motivated one day to do the same.
