Electra Swing Relic
Hello everyone
This is my first post here and I'm actually here to ask your help!
I've had this bike for some time right now, and I'm actually interested in its history.
You can find pictures of my bike here: Elctra swing - Album on Imgur
I know that the first Electra Swings were made in Taiwan but I'm not too sure about the rest.
Is there anybody else with some information concerning this bike? I'm also looking at selling this bike, so maybe you guys have an idea of how much I could get of it.
Thanks in advance!

Ohh waw, and I was here thinking that I have a really vintage bike ..
I read that the first ones from 1993 were made in Taiwan and afterwards the company moved to the USA .. Why is that Taiwain sticker still on there than? o.o

I believe that Electra hired a company in Taiwan to manufacture their bikes right form the start in 1993. It is likely that their bikes are still made in Taiwan, or elsewhere in Asia.
I don't believe that Electra ever manufactured a bike in America but that their offices were in America.

Just because it's not old doesn't mean it's not good. These bikes were a cut above most Taiwan/China bikes of the era. You must live in a salty area or the bike has been left out in the rain to have rusted like that. Cool bike and the 3 speed is the best part of it and you wouldn't find that on a vintage bike (not a Shimano anyway) Here's my DeLuxe from the same era.

In 2009, the Electra Swing shows as having a Shimano Nexus roller brake on the front wheel.
