It's worth whatever a buyer will pay for it. If the seller is patient maybe $900, but it is not one of the older more desirable models with the ornate Nervex lugs.

It's value is purely based upon it's collectability due to being in pristine new condition - so yes, it's worth whatever someone would pay for it in that condition. Put 50 miles on it and it will suddenly be worth $5-600. If someone wanted to actually ride the thing with any regularity, there are any number of better, but somewhat used, $600-$800 bikes out there. For example, Sloar's Pinarello that he currently has for sale on this site.

The rear rim has brake wear on it and the small chain ring is pretty dirty so I have serious qualms about the "never ridden" claim.

Good Eye!

Good Catch!

I missed the marks on the rear wheel rim (and front wheel rim), first time I looked. But you're right, The Seller may claim he/she never rode the bike, but obviously someone did.

Don't you hate it when a Seller tries to get over on Buyers?

Px-10's have seem to gone up in value, at least the older 60's models. Sellers are not letting them go for next to nothing now and are asking a premium. Look on eBay those older ones are over a 1500.00.

I have seen this model for around 450.00, in very nice condition and I was still trying to negotiate. 1500.00 is a very high price, the minute you put another mile on it, its like all the other Px-10's. It might reach as high as 700-900.00 but it would take a while to sell. I think at 450.00, one or 2 people would bid on it.

600.00+, he might need a few months to find a buyer.

The condition is super nice on this one but it is a rather plain 70's version with simple lugs and boring grey paint. Without the condition premium would say $450-500, with a hefty condition premium which I wouldn't pay on this one maybe $700-800.

Doesn't look like the original crank. Looks like a stronglight 99 to me and that would not have been, I believe, original equipment on a PX 10.

It's pretty boring. With so many awesome bikes out there, I seriously doubt it would go too much over 500.

Pretty nice bike. But not un-ridden, as has been said. Not fifteen hundred nice, for sure.
If it were a late sixties example, then maybe.
Note the tied spokes.
What year is this bike? Given the components, looks like maybe late 70's?

I have a hard time believing that's a NOS bike. It's pretty clean but, never rode? Plus, seller should at least put a new chain & tires on that before asking that much for it.

Crazy amount for a bike like that, imo. It's a cool bike but you could get SO much more for that money - actually, for quite a bit less. Lot's of great vintage deals out there if you have a few dollars to spend.

The Seller's Craigslist ad is purposely misleading.

The first sentence is: "... I have never ridden...". The Seller does not state that the bike has not been ridden, just that he/she never rode it. This is a Seller to AVOID. He goes out of his way to open with a misleading statement, hoping that Potential Buyer will ASSUME that the bike has never been ridden, since the Seller states that he has never ridden it.

I reported the item to Ebay as "Misleading title" with a brief explanation that it's used, not "New" as listed.

Actually it says:
"As stated in the title, I have a never ridden..." The seller also list the condition as "New".

Yes, the seller says:

"As stated in the title, I have a never ridden, all original, Peugeot PX-10 road bike for sale."

"Report" --> "Listing Practices" --> "Search & Browse Manipulation" --> "Misleading Title".
You can enter up to 100 characters to explain it's not "NEW"

Listing says: "New Other":
"Condition: New other (see details): A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear.... "
