F Moser - is that a good bike
Hi everyone,
I am considering to buy a Francesco Moser bike - the one the picture below. I am not much experienced yet and would be glad for any opinion if this bike is a good choice. I've searched the internet yet I did not find the exact same model as the one I am considering to buy.
I am looking for some light bike for city and shorter trips.
And what price you think is accurate for this one?
Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the forums.
Hard to tell from the photo
- the front and back wheels appear to be mismatched
- the forks are possibly not original
- what brand are the components?
It looks a bit rough overall but things to check before buying are:
- wheels true / gen condition
– gears work / cable condition
- brakes work / shoe wear / cable condition
- tracks straight / frame condition: dents, paint scratches etc
- can adjust seat and head stem height
- how much wear on the sprockets
If it appears looked after it probably is
In Australia it would be worth 100-300AU

Tanks a lot! It has Shimano, Peugeot and Favorit components..I am actually going to exchange it for my current bike – a Winora Sir in good condition, that cost approx 74 euros and is very light and great bike, but unfortunately not my size..so the price you estimated is corresponding I guess

Probable nice rider but looks to be a bit of a parts bin build looks to have fairly nice parts and be in riding shape. But no two parts on the bike seem to match, as rider I would say it would be a OK get around bike and worth about 150 euros's.

Thanks for your opinion! It is a half price. You are definitely right about the parts that doesn't match..

I am also considering another Italian - this green Sannino, but since the price is higher, the Moser wins...On the other hand, this one seems to have much better condition and is more "unified". Maybe less reparation needed...What u think?

I wouldn't be able to stand the weird parts mix on the Moser. Get the Sannino.

I agree with Clang.
Unless you were buying the Moser to restore money no object.
If you did buy the Moser and had good counsel you could do a rolling restoration over time.
