Vintage bicycle value depends on many things that might not occur to many people. The brand, model and vintage play a big role in value. Location of the bicycle also plays a big part of value. So does one's marketing ability. All that said, the bike, of which you speak is close to an entry level model and not tremendously valuable, in my opinion. That said...
In Thunder Bay, Canada, we sell such bicycles, fully refurbished for between $80 and $100 CND and usually to incoming university students who can't find cheap transportation...
When such bikes are offered on our local Kijiji, they are very difficult to find buyers for. Most people want mountain bikes or, at the very least, sturdy hybrids.
All that said, you will get a more accurate appraisal by submitting some pictures for the folks here to view. Those will help us, tremendously, in offering value opinions.
Hope that is a help.

That's one of those heavy entry level bikes that I like to get my hands on & put upright handlebars on. (You don't need a lightweight racing bike to haul books & groceries around on). If it's a really nice complete bike with all original parts including reflectors, kickstand, true wheels, etc. then you should be able to get $100. Put some new tubes, tires, & other parts on it & maybe get $150.
