What's it worth? Quintana Roo Tequilo 2000
Hi,
I picked up a Quintana roo tequilo 2000 bike in perfect condition at a garage sale for $50, I thought it was a score at the time because of the carbon forks and ultegra groupset.
Its looks identical to the one pictured.
How much are they worth?
cheers

That will be a hard sale to anybody outside the duathlon/triathlon crowd, even if you remove the aerobars and bullhorns, due to the 650C wheels and steep seat tube. It's best to keep it configured as is and market it on one of the triathlon sites. I don't have any appreciation for the Australian market conditions, so I'm hesitant to suggest a value.

I had a similar Roo, a Private Reserve in the same color scheme and the same CarbonAero fork, that I sold for $400 USD a few years back.
Ideally, you want to put it up for sale just before tri season begins, to catch triathletes before they get something else.
I would not suggest parting it out. Reasoning is that most triathletes don't build up their own bikes, so while you might do well on the parts, the frame/fork won't. I think it's better to keep the bike intact and sell as is, less work for you and possibly a better return on your $50 investment.

I would agree it's best to leave it complete with bar extensions and all Tri riders looking for a trainer entry level competition bike are typically looking for stuff ready to ride. In good shape ready to it would likely go for $400-500 hundred at the start of the season here in the US, I would guess it would goo for a similar price in a major Australian city pretty much year around.

Yeah I stripped the bike back and had a feeling this might be the case. Its probably good I did the parts needed a good clean and service. I guess I'll build it back up again haha.
