Fuso Lux, as is or stripped?

Fuso Lux, as is or stripped?
This is killing me to type as this bike is amazing and I don't want to sell it.
It doesn't fit me and it hurts to ride it but my God, it's impressive. I had a family member basically demanding it but he wanted too big a discount so it's not happening. Every time I mention it on here someone wants to trade for it but I'd rather sell it as close to FMV as I can and find a great frame that fits.
It's on the registry that Dave Moulton has (Number 727) and I believe there were only 100 of the Lux version. It's a 59cm frame and I usually ride 25 inch frames. I have raised the seat and the bars and it still doesn't work for me. As you can see in photos I added flat pedals to test ride. I bought both SPD and SPD-SL pedals but since it was ridden so rarely, I installed neither. I will take off the flats as no serious rider would keep them and why ship them?
It was a basement queen (vs garage queen) when I got it and has since lived with me in my basement. Every time I look at it I think someone should be riding it and then try to justify why I should keep it.
My questions are:
1) value with components - Dura Ace brakes, cranks, gears, freewheel (I can't tell if the brake levers are Dura Ace or not) 3T bars and stem?
2) value just forks and frame (keep components for my "someday build")?
Ps I also have a Motobecane mixte that's even smaller and I kept it as well so I clearly am becoming a hoarder.....

I don't know value on these, but I will say that it's a gorgeous bike. I will also second your decision to sell -- if it's too small and not getting ridden, then it makes sense to move it along. You will likely get a pretty penny for the frame and be able to find something you love that fits.
Regarding components -- if I had had them since new and knew the mileage and service history, I would be tempted to keep them if they were low mileage and I like the way they feel. Putting a comparable vintage group together would be difficult and costly.

I don't know how that would work being in Canada but I do know that the two that bertinjim listed above have been available for a long time and neither are going to be sold anytime soon. The one in St. Catherines in particular is very very rough, I asked the seller for some more photos and it definitely needs to be re-painted.
Since you are asking for a value, I think you should try for $800USD, maybe $1000CAN but take some better photos and put on some white or light blue bar tape.

Once again someone needs to invent a frame stretcher! What a beauty. Those brake levers are not Dura Ace, at least not any I've ever seen. I went to Velobase and all Dura Ace levers I found said Dura Ace on them prominently. The slotted levers had two rows of slots in place of one as depicted.
I that were my bike, I certainly would hope to get at least $850 out of it, but if you find the right buyer, hopefully more.

Those are Dia-Compe levers, I believe.

Broad range but generally a Moulton frame/fork in nice shape should fetch between 400-700 USD on this side of the border but those are ebay prices. Local sales of Moulton frames tend to only bring that $ in southern california where fusos were built and are better known. Complete bikes dont tend to bring that much more than the upper end pricing mentioned unless something really special. Overall the earlier frames seem to be more valued (with fuso stamped forks) vs later but I love my 89 FR1. Anyway if selling in Canada I think you may need to accept lower offers as probably not as big a following up there. Or be willing to ship across border to US and all its hassles.

For Bertinjim, I am familiar with the St Catharines FR1 as I first posted it on here under the eBay finds listing. I believe that it came from the same source as mine and if so, I recall it showed rust which is why I wanted to "think" before buying. It was a garage queen that had hung for a few years and I thought the components were in rougher shape than mine. The other listing was from 2013 and while I think it's a Lux it might not represent similar values due to age and because as it had Deore components.
I am in no way an expert on these frame but, (without any intent to insult anyone who ones an FR1 - Daily commute and others) I had thought that the Lux was a step up from the FR1. I believe that the pecking order went the original Fuso (which became the FR1), the FRX (basically FR1 with a better paint job) and then the Lux.

"When I first introduced the Fuso frame in 1984 there was just one model. It was simply a “Fuso.” Then after a couple of years I was getting requests for chrome plating, and an upgraded paint job, so in 1986 I brought out the Fuso “LUX” model. LUX short for Luxury.
So now the original Fuso needed a model name, so it became the FR1. FR for Fuso Racing, and “1” because it was the 1st. Fuso. In another year or so, I realized there was a need for something in between the no frills FR1, and the no expense spared LUX model. The FRX was at a price point somewhere in between the other two models, and costing a little more meant that I could offer a few more “Custom” options. It seems to me that the issue is comparing apples to apples and that is hard dealing when with the second hand market. I will add the blue tape as suggested by jet sanchEz ( I tried white once and it was stained before I left the yard for a trial run!!)
I was leaning toward stripping the frame and keeping the components for my "one day build" (just need NOS Dura Ace brake levers then and a set of pedals). I suspect I may try the "Frame doesn't fit" category. Last time I posted it desperately asking for any way to set it up so I could ride it I was offered a larger Paramount frame which would have worked for riding but I was planning to go the family route and thought even if I traded I could get something nicer to look at as well and a Raleigh Criterium which isn't my thing at all.
I shipped my AlAn to San Diego to jasonbakersd who is building that up so no issues with shipping accross border so as you said might try eBay.

Definitely the LUX was top dog but again the best prices (and I have followed them for some time) tend to be earlier builds or the 30th anniversary editions which also seem sought after. Fade paint jobs while signatures of the era never seem to do as well as other paint jobs and I note that across other builders and models....just my opinion of course. I think your best bet is to sell the frame/fork on US ebay with BIN (note a fuso sold for 250 at auction not too long ago). There are some fusos that have been sitting on ebay for some time with unrealistic prices. FWIW I picked up the FR1 in pristine shape as a whole bike for 400 + 100 shipped (USD) a few years ago. A good deal and with tri color shimano build not as nice as dura ace, but again value is in frame on these.....GL man a beautiful bike. Mine is a tad small too but it works and is a beautiful ride. You might toss that stem in with sale as DM philosophy was shorter TT with long stem for more stability on fast descents.
