Late 70s Grandis Special

I am curios to know forums users think the value of this late 70s Grandis . I purchased it new as a bare frame through my father's shop. It was built with mostly Campagnolo NR components with some SR . Cinelli bars and stem. It has been in storage most of it's existence and probably has less than 10 miles traveled. It is a 55cm

It's a beautiful bike. Others will come along who can give you a better idea of what it's worth. The pantographed crank is sweet. To get top dollar, you'll need to deal with eBay. There's a really good looking Ciocc with a triomphe/victory group in the C&V for sale forum for sale currently at $550.

Grandis are often overlooked.
I have one, I paid too much in comparison to the current market.
the overall ride and handling is very close to a Colnago Super.

the pedals on this one will pull back the value for most. Folk expect Campagnolo.
this bike is at that worth more taken apart than sold whole.
too bad, but how it is.
$500-550 as it sits, $700-850 dismembered.

Just had this discussion with my brother. He said we both bought frames at the same time from Gita Sports .His was a Derosa and I opted for the Grandis . My brother says early 80s ,and I was sure it was late 70s . It is definitely is not mid 80s !

The single set of bottle mounts with the FD mount would place it 83 or so.

Investment cast braze on bits were a 1984 intro. The addressed the flex thing. (as did SLX tubing but it was the added contact area of the investment cast part that really helped in my view) And not from Campagnolo, they were still packaging stamped mounts till 1985, then stopped.

of course, could be the stamped mount, just appears cast from the images.

Agreed, 80's manufacture. I had a mid-70's Superleggera, the one bike I REALLY regret selling.
