Lemond Buenos Aires value
Supposedly mint condition, only ridden a few times. Full Ultegra. Any ideal of a realistic value? Yhanks

Appears to be a 2003 model. 853 Designer Select main tubes with 525 stays. Carbon fork and an Ultegra/105 groupset was stock.
The BA is tier below the top line steel frames, Zurich and Maillot Jaune, at least in the early 2000 models. It's a very nice bike. In my area..I'd guess $400-$500. There was a "pristine" BA listed in the Chicago area recently at $600. It was listed on CL for 4-6 weeks, I see it's now gone.
The MJ & Zurich had ovalized tubing "853 Pro" in the main frame and 853 or 725 stays. The MJ had a Dura Ace groupset and the Zurich was all Ultegra. The BA had round tubing in the main frame.

Good grab. If you haven't ridden a Lemond/853 frame..I think you'll like it. I was riding last Saturday and took out a Bianchi Volpe I did some work on..wanted to try it out. This was the first (road) ride in a couple years where I wasn't riding one of my Lemonds..been riding the Poprad the most, lately.
The Volpe was nice enough ride and had the same tires (GK slicks 38mm) as the Poprad, but....I was surprised how different it felt compared to the Poprad. Hard to explain..the Volpe just didn't have the "life" I was used to(nor the fit). I don't know if it was any slower, but it felt that way. The Poprad, Lemonds in general, are just more fun to ride...granted they have better tubing..etc..

I haven’t decided yet, I ordered a shorter stem so it will fit better. I will decide it’s fate after a couple rides. In the meantime it’s listed for sale a little higher than reasonable.

Fishboat- how did you get 38 GKs on the rear of your Poprad? I've been riding mine all winter with 32s - LOVE them, but didn't think I could go any larger on the rear.
It has bocome my "go-to" bike, though.

700x38 GK SKs also run fine(and feel surprisingly like the slicks on the road..they fly).
38s and a Poprad is a very smooth-fast ride.

Well, I'll have to try the 38s, although I'm loving the 32s so much, hate to take them off!

That is the twin to the one I bought 10 days ago for $425 (needing a cable). Though pretty original it has a lot of paint chips and some minor rust. So, I would think you got a pretty good deal. I am really impressed with how this thing rides. Also, it is one of the 3 ring ones and I was a bit leery about the granny gears, but I love it.
