Road bike Raleigh old Restore and upgrade
hi everyone , i'm new in this forum
i would like upgrade and restore my old bike
i would do like change system brake to disc brake system
buy new fork
change the wheels ,handlebars,pedals, gears , chain ecc!
i took apart it alredy, just miss the pedals i don't know how can dismount it!
could you help me please!

Welcome to the Bike Forums.
That old bike, unless it has great sentimental value to you, is not worth the upgrades that you have suggested. Please do not take that as an insult. The Raleigh is a good enough bike to clean up and ride, but to spend all the money to implement the upgrades you seek will prove to be not cost effective.
Just to get this one road worthy and looking good has set me back close to $250.00 already and I have not purchased tires, or cables, or brake blocks yet. There goes another hundred dollars, or close to it. To that add that I do all of my own work. By the time I get this done, my cost will be between $350 and $400. And I did not have to change brake calipers or the transmission or anything else. Anyway, this was free to me...
and it looks like this now, brush on paint job and all...
The point is that, by the time you alter the frame to accept disc brakes, and buy a front fork that accepts disc brakes (probably screw up the geometry of the bike), and disc brake wheels, and just the few other items you mention, will set you back hundreds of dollars, unless you find a decent doner bike. Plus, who will do the work? For what you want done, the labor costs will be high, in my opinion.
Anyway, your bike, do what you feel best but, were I the you, I would seriously consider finding another bike as my starting point.

As mentioned, why not just buy a bike that comes with disc brakes? Bikesdirect has plenty for not too much coin that would be cheaper than trying to convert and modify what you currently have. Cheaper, easier, and will net a better result.

Did you manage to get your cranks and bottom bracket (crank axle) removed? Still dedicated to making this disc after all of the responses?

hi yes new update i need buy for first, new bottom bracket ,crankset,chainring, then i would buy the fork with hold disc!! any suggestions please?

Easiest is to take the frame to your local bike shop and they can confirm the threading for the bottom bracket you will need to buy. If you stick with the older standard square taper bottom bracket you will likely have cheaper options for the crank. Your local bike shop can recommend cranks for you too based on your sizing and the type of gears/chain you’ll be using. The front fork with a disc mount will be easy to find. Also, you could try an inexpensive disc brake adapter for the rear wheel—see photo. Like everyone is saying to you, this frame would be far more durable and straightforward with rim brakes, but if you are set on disc then go for it!
