Bicycle question. I'm new here.
What should I do with a 35+/- year old road bike (Bridgestone 300). It has a good original frame (no rust that I can see) with some usable brake and derailleur parts. It needs new handlebar, 27" wheels, tires, pedals, and chain. A rear derailleur sprocket gear fell off and was lost somewhere during a ride through melting snow. I have no money to spend to fix this. I was just going to leave it next to a dumpster.

a more community conscious action would be to donate to a local bicycle charity or co-op
if there is not one near you you could donate to another charity...
there is a good possibility that a person who pulls it from the dumpster will simply take it to the flea market and offer it for sale "as-is"

Not know where you are, I would list it on Craigslist for $25, parts included.
