Shogun 400 Mixte Find
I have recently acquired a Shogun 400 mixte for $50. I couldn't pass that up but I will admit I don't know much about Shogun bikes. It seems to be in pretty good condition and the things I'd do seem pretty cosmetic. Any suggestions on how to spruce this mixte up or any information at all is definitely welcomed. I am also planning on adding a kickstand. I am aware that there is a thread/data base for Shogun serial numbers. I am not currently home but when I get back I will be sure to add it to the database. Here are some (hopefully decent) pictures of the bike I have:
I am also considering picking up a Raleigh Grand Prix mixte that has come up on the market. If I keep going at the rate that I am, I am definitely going to run out of storage space soon!

Shoguns were decent bikes in their day and they spanned entry level to higher end. Be advised that this is a decent and rideable bike that is worth some maintenance to get it going for you and you got a fair deal but IMO it isn't worth much more than $50 so just be careful about how much money you sink into it because it won't add to the value all that much.

I see much to like here: nice color frame, nice (Sakae?) cotterless crank, alloy wheels with quick releases and decent tires. Guessing early 80's. Well worth the ask.

Unsure about thread for Shogun serial numbers but perhaps you meant T-mars Asian serial numbers on the C&V page at the top. If there's another thread just for Shogun serial numbers please still post on Asian numbers sticky as he collects them to help people trace when and where their bikes were made and by whom.
