I am trying to determine the approx. value of a fully chromed Bianchi Pista model; I think it is from around 2005. Sorry if it is not considered vintage (I really don't see it as such; TIG welded, no lugs), but I didn't know where to post. Full frameset with original Bianchi stem (alloy, 1" threadless) and bar (steel). A flip-flop rear wheel and driveside crank w/chainring included, but not original; and chain (might be OE 'cause it is still on the frame). Chrome is in very good condition, unicrown fork (drilled for front brake), curved bridge at seat stays (no drillings), decals in excellent condition.

Listed on Craigslist for $150 which seems like more than a fair deal if the frame has not been bent/damaged (cannot determine from photos).

If it fits $150 is about all I'd pay for one. Bianchi almost always had a real Pista in the catalog in the '80s and ''90s but I think these chrome ones were more the "Fixie Craze" of the 2000s

...as already stated, this is a Taiwanese sourced product, but I have one and it's pretty good for what it is. If it fits, and doesn't need much in the way of repairs, that's a more than fair price...if you're looking for a single speed bicycle. Sometimes you can score one that's had some of the components upgraded. Mine has upgrades to the wheels. Relatively light in weight for a welded steel frame, and the OS tubing in the frame makes them plenty stiff. The stock crank that it came with is a little janky, but perfectly functional.

Thank you Bianchigirll, kind of figured that is was not a true track bike, but I can't get on the track w/o one, and I won't use my 50s Mertens track bike so it will make a decent low cost quasi-track bike and flat trail burner in freewheel mode with a front brake installed.

The listing (a typical Craigslist post) of course at first had no photos and advertised it as a complete bike w/o crankset/pedals, and non-original wheelset. Size was listed as 66cm so I blew it off. On a later search it had some poor photos showing single wheel (flip-flop rear), and drive crank; but no front wheel or saddle. I could certainly tell that it was not a Pro track bike and it was much much smaller than 66cm, but seeing the condition and size (I figured approx. 53-54) so it was my size.

Long story short, I just picked up the frame and parts (wheel good, minor truing), overall very good condition and will clean up nicely. Some paint on rear triangle that owner (bike salvage guy, mostly department store tripe) thought was bad chrome; I suspect bike changed owners illegally at sometime in its past (serial number police check, no record).
Paid $120, I am certain that I could have purchased for less; but I felt the deal was very fair especially after closer inspection.
It should prove to be a solid ride with better components, trying to find a carbon crank set for it now.

Its a true track bike. The parts it came with originally are budget grade, but serviceable. The geometry and bottom bracket height is real track bike geometry. A Sugino 75 would be a nice crankset to find if you can find one at a good price --

Now having one in hand, I would think that a complete bike with original components in above average condition would be worth (to me anyways) about $300-$400/250€-300€. Unless it was built-up with higher end parts (cranks and wheels essentially) I would have trouble going much higher, but for another 1000€ it would have to be gold plated instead of being chrome plated. I was able to find that model's "suggested" retail price was around $750/650€ new (I think it was an '08 model) so if selling @ 1400€ it should have much better components (I would assume maybe a carbon wheelset, etc.) than the the factory stock version.
