Early 1970's Raleigh Sports 3-Speed - Mint Condition

[Sorry for no photos, but I am new and not yet allowed to post with photos] I am considering purchasing a Men's (`23") Raleigh Sports 3-Speed (Sturmey Archer AW - Green). The bike is in mint/showroom condition (I would say it is like "New Old Stock". I would appreciate some ballpark estimates of a value for such a rare find.

Not really rare find this was one of the most produced bikes ever with several hundred thousand made sold in the early 70's and about a million total, it i seems that one out of three older houses in the central US has a nice nearly unused 3 speed in the garage. As for value the sport was Ralieghs entry level model so not a tone of value only $150-200 in great condition.

No doubt I have seen a lot of these Raleigh 3 speeds posted on various listing sites. So I think you are on point with your assessment of the number of bikes of this type in circulation. That said I rarely see these bikes in perfect condition.

Thank you for your feedback that is very helpful, and I may pass on this in lieu of something more distinctive
