1952 Rudge De-Luxe Sports Tourist

I am at an age where I am thinking I need to off load some of my bikes and not leave that task to my wife or children after I'm gone. I have a 1952 Rudge De-Luxe Sports Tourist that I've had for many years and have no idea what to do with. It's in very good shape and I would like it to go to someone who would care about it. Is there a fan base for such a bike and if so does the bike have any value

Front fender.

Rear assembly.
?

All original including matching pump and fenders.

Head badge.

Decals are still present

Yes there is a following but fairly limited. Yours is complete but has a fair amount of patina as to be expected if used over past almost 70 years. I would try to sell locally on FB marketplace or Craigslist or the big auction site local pick up only. Don’t sell it so cheap that vultures part it out. Start at 250 to 300 or so but don’t take less than around 125 to 150 . When people inquire you should casually ask their intentions and see if they are knowledgeable (ask what kind of oil they put in hub - correct ans straight 20 weight full petroleum oil like 3 in 1 blue label not standard one ; no veg oil and no additives that are found in motor oil as they gum it up and how much oil - correct ans 2 tbs every fortnight) in this way you’ll find the person that will give it a good home. I’m 2k miles away otherwise I would say what’s one more bike in the garage as can’t fit the car in there anyway…

Thanks for the info. There is LBS that has a small museum and I am thinking I might just donate it there. There does not seem to be much interest especially here in California. I

I am keeping my eyes open for these English 3 speed bikes. I like them and actually they still bring good money.
I just sold locally a 69 Raleigh Superbe for 325$ and it went fast. Last year a 58 or so Raleigh for 395$. On this one a need to do the shipping.
Your bike, as complete is, must have at least a 350$ value.
At 125...150$ is a steal.
