Campy crank ID

This crank came on a 1986 Miyata 710, need help IDing it. I looked at several other posts on the topic and didn't find a match. The bike originally came with Sugino GS from what I see in the 1986 brochure.

The bike also has DuraAce 7 speed indexed as opposed to the stock Cyclone.

Looks a little like late-80's Chorus or Croce D'Aune (spelling?).
Well made and not worth a whole lot. Decent condition there, for their age.
Lose that dang kickstand...immediately.

Thanks for the info. I did remove the kickstand shorty after the pic

Definitely Chorus. Without trawling the internet or old catalogues it’s c. 1987 and was not sold as Croce d’Aune.

Really good cranksets and from memory lighter than the concurrent C-Record and Croce cranks, which were both much more expensive.

Thanks for the info folks. Yah that curved crank arm caught my eye, glad it was intentional haha.

Here are some pics of the bike. I think it's a 1986. Besides changing the crank, it seems the drivetrain was changed to 7-speed indexed DuraAce. Ukai wheels are original based on the catalog..

Restore logic says you might want to replace it with maybe a Dura Ace 7400 series crankset, but the Chorus crankset was actually an excellent crankset. The lightest and most aero crankset (because of the very flat spider offset) of the then, "new age" Campy components.

This crank was originally Chorus, but after the Croce group went away, Chorus got the Croce crank and the one pictured in this thread became the Athena crank. So it is either Chorus or Athena, depending on year. This switch happened in either 91 or 92.

I just bought one of these recently and built up a 91 Serotta.
