C-Record group

Very good condition, Delta brakes, brake levers, white hoods, crank, BB, FD, RD, 8-speed cassette, chain, shift levers but no headset.

Is it worth $550?

8-speed cassette? True C-Record was never capable of 8-speed, far as I know, neither did it come with a cassette. Need to see photos - sounds as if it is a later Record group or a mish-mash of parts.

What generation C-Record it is (1st gen RD vs. 2nd, 1st gen engraved crank vs. 2nd-gen silkscreen, 1st gen levers vs. 2nd gen w/QR tab, etc) would also affect value. $550 seems reasonable for a minty groupset of any C-Record generation, but that cassette has me suspicious.

A C-Record group just went on eBay for $390 + $50 shipping, I think. It wasn't 100% complete (no hubs) but it was pretty nice. I dropped out at three hundred. No hoods.

It seems you are correct about it being a mix, I think I'll stick to the old stuff.
