battaglin from ?mid 90's?
I am looking for a bike for my daughter who will be participating in a 4 day charity ride this fall (about 350 km over 4 days). I found what appears to be a fantastic deal on craigslist- a Battaglin with Campy Avanti components, 8 speed indexed shifting, ITM stem and bars, Alex chromemoly tubing. I am familiar with the older Columbus SL Battaglins, but what can you tell me about Alex tubing and Avanti components? It is, I am sure, worth the $100 the seller is asking at any rate.

It took some searching but I found the bike you're talking about. If it's as nice as those pictures look I'd give $100 faster than I could blink. A good looking chromoly framed bike with campy in working condition is always worth $100. You're lucky it's so far away or it would already be in my collection
