Bridgestone 400 for $300??

Hello,

I'm a total newbie and am trying to find my first road bike... I found a vintage Bridgestone 400 1985 model (manufactured in 1984) on Craigslist for $300. It rides nicely and is in a very good condition (I've looked at it)

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hn...703980855.html

Do you think $300 is a good price for the bike?

Thanks much!!

Maureen

No, too high for around here. It would be more like $200 to $225 here, in totally refurbished, ready to ride condition. Looks like it needs new tires to me, if so, I would adjust the price down a bit. Also needs bar tape (no big deal). Straight gauge tubing, high tensile steel fork, galvanized spokes, 27 inch wheels. Not a bad bike at all, but the $300 mark around here means a great one.

We just recently had a small thread on these. It was more on an unusual size frame than yours, so according to most people here yours should be worth a little more. He will never get $300 for it, $200 would be the max in ready to ride condition, $150-$175 if it needs tires\brakes\tape.
