Somec Track Bike and Bent Trek 720

Just yesterday I picked up a Somec Track Frame and a Trek 720, the 720 is built up with super record and chorus. It was in a crash so the frame is useless but a good donor bike for my new frame I just got. The Somec on the other hand is a track bike columbus tubing, (Acciaio Specialle) thinking maybe it was early columbus sl. Its a really cool frame will be a fun project. Found a few articles on the somec track frames, looks to be so quality Italian frames. Any information would be great, year, value, details on the tubing, everything helps.

Enjoy the pictures.

not early SL, that has an investment cast bb shell, so SL had been around for some time by the time that frame was built. Thanks for the nice pictures, that's a really nice frame.

I am loving that Somec! I have a Somec road frame and fork in the que to be built/restored and the mitering and build quality is absolutely the best I have ever seen. What size is that 55cm?

I wouldn't think that a track bike would be built with SL. Generally considered too light back in the day
