Kestral 200 SCi
Is anyone familiar with this bike? I have never heard of a Kestral. I know that the fork is Carbon Fiber, Is the frame Carbon fiber also?
What would be a fair offer I should make for this bike?
Early 90's Kestrel 200 SCi
-58cm
-Shimano 600 components
-Titan Wheelset
-Look Clipless Pedals
-In good condition, a few scuffs here and there, but nothing large.
-New Tires last season (probably 300 miles on them)
-Sette Turbo Saddle

Carbon fibre fork+frame. Ride it before you make an offer. Some of the earlier Kestrals (and other carbon fibre) bikes had notoriously "dead" road feels. You may or may not like this. Inspect the frame VERY carefully for any signs of stress or cracks.
These were fairly pricey when new. What's the asking price?

Depending on that price, that Kestrel sounds like it was a deal. Sorry you missed out on it.
My Kestrel is the second most expensive bike in my keeper fleet, and I bought it as just a frameset. They have a pretty big following, and that era 600 components are my favorite (and what I will be putting on mine, still haven't gotten around to it).
Mine's also a 1992, branded as a one year only Paramount Series 9C.
