Coventry Eagle 1970s???
Hello everyone, I have recently cleaned and fixed my fathers old road bike and I am some addicted to cycling now. I needed a bike to ride to class and saw this sitting in the shed. Since finding it I have cleaned all of the parts and replaced the pedals, seat, brake and derailer cabling, and brake pads. Everything else is original parts. I wanted to learn something about the bike and company behind it. I have done some research and understand that Coventry Eagle was bought by Falcon or vise versa, I was also curious why my bike has the sticker badge vs the metal 3D badge. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone. Oh and here are some pics, ask for more if it helps.

You probably already found this relatively terse reference to Coventry Eagle on CR:
https://www.classicrendezvous.com/Bri...Eagle_main.htm
From what I've gleaned from prior posts right here on C&V Bikeforums, Falcon acquired C.E. not the other way around, and subsequently relegated them to a secondary status below the Falcon branded bikes. - If that is correct, then I would surmise the omission of the sculpted headbadge was part of that program - but again, that is just my guess
