Jeunet 531 Reynolds
I just bought a Jeunet made of 531 Reynolds tubes for pretty cheap and thought I found a great quality bike. Are there people who know that brand much? Is it a high end model?
The frame is light and beautiful, it's just sad that the paint is that much damaged, at least the chrome is still pretty much perfect.
It feels like it's the same frame as the Peugeot PX10. There's the simplex brand engraved in the rear part of the chrome, it has front and rear chrome, uses 531 reynolds tubes...
Here are the pictures.

The bike I see is a Juenet 620 high cabon not 531 still a very nice frame better than most French frames frome the 70's Juenet never sold a bad frame there basic stuff was better than most Pugs.

Still learning
Are pics of the area above the French tricolor band on the seat tube available and just below the fork crown? That is where any 531 decals would have been placed.
I picked up an A-D 531 with bad paint, but for $40, who's complaining?

620s are regularly misidentified as 531, mostly because they're a nicer looking frame than just about any entry level frame from that period. More info is needed.

+1, check the post size to be sure, but I believe this is actually a model 630 with Reynolds 531. The crankset and Simplex forged droputs without hanger were unique to that model. The upper models had Simplex forged dropouts with integral hangers and different cranksets. The 620, used a cottered crankset and had brazed-on, top tube, cable stops.

I never consider this color to be orange. I always thought it was more yellow. Technically, it's probably ocher or some other yellow-orange shade.

Thank you everybody for the interest and response!
It is Reynolds 531, you can't see it on the pictures but as Poguemahone said there are remains of the stickers on the fork and on the seat post!
I believe you are right about the 630 model, it really looks like the ones I get on google search. Now my problem is should I sell it or keep it in my collection...

Have you ridden it? It seems that the bike must speak for itselt here. If you love its ride, then keep it. If you're indifferent, I'd recommend that you sell. The question is purely a subjective one.

Just had a ride with it, it is awesome! Though I feel it's a little big for me, kinda bummer.

I'm in Montreal... I'm open to shipping/exchange for another bike if you have something to sell I can be interested in. Please email me, I'm not very familiar yet with the BF message system.

After years of searching..
I wound up with this one...
It's a repaint, though...
I tried to hold true to the original. The cranks are obviously an anachronism.

Idid what I could. Mavic Monterey rims on Campagnolo hubs. The ride is stable and comfortable, not sporty.

bars look drooping... too bad as the demarcation is nice.
I would end up raising the shift levers.
The solid color MIGHT be matchable. and maybe just paint the top tube or clean and polish it and leave the war wounds stand.
Rebuild it.
Find a Simplex LJ rear mech... I know, later but the plastic does not age well.
Look for an Ideale 2001, 2002 seat.
