Hey guys, I found this bike on ads for 140$ and Im wondering if its worth it and does it have a Swiss bottom bracket and other stuff? Any info on the bike, would be nice. From what I can see from the pics and what seller said, it has 2x7 Shimano 105 group, size is 53cm and it has Oria ML25 tubes. Is it ok for my height of 176cm? Pictures here: https://plus.google.com/photos/10082...225?banner=pwa

Looks to be a fairly decent mid level bike with Shimano 105 and Ok wheels should be a good buy for $140 if everything works and it rides good.

Not sure when the Swiss stopped using Swiss threading, certainly the french stopped using it by 1984+/-, and this bike is newer than that.

As far as what will fit you? Spend some time on google, there are plenty of sites that will walk you through sizing. My ability to size someone over the internet with minimal information (your height) is very, very poor.

176 cm ~ 5'-9".

No idea of values in Serbia, around here, that bike would be a nice deal.

My inner leg is about 80cm if that helps. Im just afraid that bottom bracket is Swiss, if it breaks, Im screwed because its hard to find parts anyway, let alone Swiss BB >.<

EDIT: does this bike fits in "gaspipe" category? xD

Sorry I didn't metion in previos post at 5'9" this bike may be little too small for you of the common frame sizes a 56cm one size bigger is likely what your looking for.

There are options on swiss bottom brackets, including threadless "repair" bottom brackets. Here in the US, those threadless bb can be had for about $25.

Given the bike has 105 components, and given some of the frame details, like that nice rear brake bridge, its not gas pipe. That is an Oria tubing sticker. Oria, like all the tubing companies, made a variety of grades, including some really nice ones. My Tommasini Competizione has Oria tubing. Google Oria tubing and you can probably match up that fork decal.

The OP asked does it have swiss BB based on age and components not likely I have never seen a late 80's with and 105 swiss.
