Bikes: Look 555

I just bought a 1985 sr300, with an upgraded shimano 600 indexed drive train for $300, I though it was well worth the cash, especially because the alternative meant not riding at all.

Those are vastly different bikes....which one is your size? The ST is priced to move the Fuji not so much.

Yeah I'm surprised the ST is still there. Better hurry on that one if it's your size.

Hard to tell, but the Cannondale looks smaller than a 23" to me. I can not understand why people can not take their bike off the hook to take a picture of it.

Bikes: Still a garage full

IMHO, the Fuji is $75-$100 in excess of FMV and sized for a rider over 6'0".

The Cannondale is probably undervalued by $50 or more, but sized for a rider under 5'8". It will need a full overhaul as the grease is dried up, so be prepared to layout $150-$200 if you're taking it to the LBS. I think it has more than 150 miles on it too, looking at the buildup on the front chainrings.

hellohello, By far the Cannondale is the better bike and at it's price will be gone pronto. Compared with my 23" '95 T700 it does look to be 23". So if you have a metric sized road bike in the 56-60 cm range it'll fit.

Yep, if you're in the area for local pickup, the Cannondale is a good deal. Needs a LOT of cleanup and everything will have to be serviced (don't even THINK about 'riding it for a while until you get that done'- it will ruin the bearings) and it will need new tires, tubes, cables, housing, bar tape and possibly a seat- all things that either go bad over time, even if not used, or for which the modern replacements are so superior that you;d be crazy not to invest a little more while it's all being done. You may also need new brake pads/shoes as they tend to dry out and harden.

Properly refurbished, that will last you for decades.
