Early 90's Complete NOI DeRosa San Remo, All C-Record, Delta Brakes, High-Flange Hubs
Hello. About 7 or 8 years ago I built, completely from NOS parts purchased on ebay, a 56 cm, dark blue DeRosa San Remo. I rode it (seriously) one time just to try it out and it has sat as a showpiece since then. It is 100% C-Record, including a seatpost and chainrings I had custom pantographed with "DeRosa". Has Delta brakes and the high-flange "sheriff star" hubs, with Campy Delta clincher rims. Has friction shifters installed but I also have a set of the Synchro II shifters. The bike is a perfect late 80's/early 90's time capsule. Impeccable condition.
Was looking around on ebay and was surprised at what some vintage C-Record parts are now selling for, and was wondering what the entire bike may be worth.
Thanks!

Absolutely part it out. You won't even come close on price if you sell it whole.

Beautiful bike!!!
Yes, absolutely part it out if you want to get anywhere near what the components are worth. This involves tearing down the wheelset and selling the hubs and rims separate too. Unfortunately, although in nearly new condition, the components are no longer NOS and therefore will no longer bring the hefty NOS premium.
Frankly I would just ride it though. It would be a shame (IMO) to tear it apart especially after you built it up so nicely.

Great bike in the current market you won't get what it's worth. Maybe $1600-1800 as a whole and $2200 parted out. If you can I suggest you keep the bike and ride it.

Really appreciate all the feedback and compliments. Thanks! Definitely don't think I have the heart to part it out. Will think about it...and take it for a ride this weekend!

I bet you can easily close to double your money parting it out. Although there's enough people there looking for such a nice C-Record/Delta decked out bike.....there a lot more people just looking just for a full C-Record/Delta group to put on a frame of their choice, which is not necessarily a De Rosa or a bike of that size..... Fantastic as the De Rosa frame is, it will actually pull down the value potential of the C-Record/Delta group. if sold together with the frame.
