Vintage Peugeot
They want $150, it's my size... What do you all think? It looks like a '76-'77 PX something-or-other? I haven't looked at it in person; non-stock derailleurs and likely different rims...
Edit: Hmm, sorry about those last two pics, not sure what's going on with those being tiny and all...

It's a UO-8, chrome rims, which are original. A metal RD is a plus.
If it's been overhauled, $150 is okay. If it needs work, deduct accordingly, down to as low as $50.

Thanks for the responses, guys! I guess I'll just have to go and see if I like it.
Personally, the downtubes and stem threw me; then again, I'm new to any non-trek vintage territory (and can venture safely, thanks to posters like you!). Thanks for the info!

+1 The price is ok if it's 100% ready to ride. I'm guessing it's not, and I would be looking in the $50-75 range for one like this.
I think it's the lack of model numbers on the bikes, and the fact that all the decal sets looked very similar. To us it's blindingly obvious. To a new person, apparently not so much.

I am looking at a bike very similar to this! I'm 6'5" and its a 66 cm Peugeot Record Du Monde U08 Road Bike. It's 100% ready to ride and they want $160. Is this a fair deal? Does anyone know if this is a good bike? All I need to do is get around campus!

Since you represent the One Percent, of buyers tall enough to ride it, you can hammer pretty hard on price. Condition too dictates value, so without photos………………..

Ultra large frames usually go for quite a bit less than more common sizes. If it's in really good, ready to ride condition, you might offer 95 bucks to start with and work towards each other's price. But I'd hesitate to go over 120 bucks on a giant size UO8, regardless of condition...

on the other hand extra large bikes over 60cm are not all that common unless you're in the Netherlands.....
was it me or did the picture of the seat stay look like it's got rust under the paint?
or is it just wet?

I dunno, I find them all the time without half trying. Well, not as big as 66cm, but I've got a shop full of 62-64cm bikes all clamoring for my attention. I do like the fact you can pick 'em up cheaper than a 56cm. I guess that's why I have so many
