I found these two bikes on craigslist, both have limited info available on the internet, i was wondering if you insightful people would be so kind as to weigh in. Info, and advice on which to buy or if theyre worth buying would be appreciated!

They both seen like OK deals but they are two different types of bikes. What is your intention? Commuting 5+ miles each way? faster paced group rides? Dirt trails? cruising the neighborhood with the kids? Which one fits you? It is hard to see the size on the Premio but it looks bigger thana 56cm/21in frame so you should be over say 5'8" for either?
If your looking for something fast and nimble for longer rides the Premio is the way to go. It is a entry level bike but still a nice machine with ChroMoly frame and fork and Shimano 300ex group. Should be a great bike at that price. I'd ditch the aero bars. Oh it is a '91 if that matters.
I am not much of a mtn biker these days but at $80 I would scoop up the '95 Nyala just to check it out. The Super Lug frameset was kind of interesting idea and bit of a throwback to some early building styles. I am however a bit leery of the black fork, since on most bikes of level usually come with a fork the same color as the frame. Should be a decent entry level mtb though.
The same person is selling them both. Offer $160 for the pair and see if he bites. Then try them both and keep the bike that fits your style or keep both.

Same seller for both. Note the bungee cord connecting the two? I like the mtb - with slicks, it'd make a terrific "around town" bike. PG

i think the premio would be a better fit for my lifestyle and its the one ive been leaning towards tbh
size wise, i asked and the premio was a 24in and the owner didnt answer about the nyala.
i agree about the aero bars, id prefer the simpler drop down by itself
yeah i was actually really interested in the year, as i understand they got lighter over the years, and the 80's was what i found most of and they seemed to be 20lbs+ usually
thank you so much for the information and help!
one question, i notice the pedals seem to be clipless, but i cant tell what kind? im barely getting deeper into bikes and learning more about individual bike parts and, i was figuring id just replace them with platforms. Do you have any advice regarding that?
thanks again!!

The pedals look like a shimano SPD style. Ask the seller he may the originals. Just go to your LBS and get some basic clip and strap pedals to use while you get comfy on the bike. After a few rides go get a basic SPD compatible shoe and before you know it you'll be upgrading to those SPD pedals.

Still learning
If you're under 6' the Premio is too big. The MTB looks to be 19"-20".

It's worth the effort to go check it out. Bring a set of metric keys to adjust the bike seat, etc. If you have to stretch of your privates are riding the rail, I'd keep looking.

No. Try riding it and bring some hex wrenches to lower the saddle and stem if you need to. You'll want to know if they are 'stuck' at any rate, even if the bike seems exactly your size. A 24" frame is not necessarily to big for you; I'm 6'0" and most of my bikes are 25" frames. Do you have long legs?
