Those indeed might be a price surprise to some but there are some spectacular vintage beauties in that $1500 range. Since this is a 'whats it worth' thread, I have no idea what any of these bikes are really worth I just go by the old adage 'its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it'.
I've also learned if one thinks they in fact purchased a classic frame for a bargain, the price of the components to build will catch up very quickly to a ready to roll find. Have fun in your search!

If I'm interested in purity, I hunt for complete/ mostly complete rollers.
I'm looking for a beautiful frame to build a custom with. Original/vintage parts mean nothing to me.

Just something goofy I started one day. After a successful shakedown ride on...... I forget, I was downing a celebratory drink. So now I sort of christen a successful test ride with an appropriate beverage. I was slightly unaware that Guenness is actually Irish and not really British. I used a bottle of Pa Dutch eggnog to christen my Batavus.

If you like the Condors you should also check out the W.B. Hurlow initial lugged bikes. He worked for Condor but the bikes he did on his own are truly spectacular. Though, the last one I saw sold hit $10,000 if I remember correctly. Also Les Ephgrave is another one to check out. I will own one of those someday.
