Help Identifying Frame 1/2

6 Attachment(s)
I bought a couple of frames for the cheap from an old guy who restores bicycles as a hobby. I wanted to try my hand on these frames and pick up some skill and knowledge before I started dumping money on more expensive builds. Here are the pictures for the first frame. I intend to build a beefy tourer out of this.

The decals/manufacturer logo was not present. There were signs of them existing though. It had a DIN sticker attached to it, with the German "Kontroller No" on the base, I am assuming a European origin. Please let me know if you need more pictures of the frame.

I was thinking it was a Maxwell Smart bike, but his Kontrol No. was 86.

Whatever it is, it is a very, very low-end frame. If you're going to go to some trouble to build up a bike, I would not use this frame. The Schwinn is a better starting point.

I am far from an expert (see signature) but that one looks like scrap metal. The problem with not wanting to start with a nicer frame is the components cost the same, and usually more than the whole bike, so building a junk frame is a money loosing proposition. What you want to do is REbuild a nice bike.

You might try the Danish serial numbers. I cannot read the start of the serial number, but it ends with an "H". In the Danish system that means year 1949, 1971, or 1992.

Wow, @Hummer
That was a great find. I think its the same bike going from the head tube lug shape. I still have the frame as it is. It looks too bad to build it back up.
Thank you.

You are welcome. Thanks for originally posting your bicycle pictures and posing the question.
